The sixty-four hexagrams may be arranged in a square, circular or linear way. The linear diagram starts with qian and ends with kun, with yin and yang taking their course from zhen and xun to lean, li, gen, dui, and further to qian and kun. If divided in the middle at hou and fu into two lines, the linear diagram will become a circular one. It can also be grouped into eight hexagrams and rearranged into a square diagram with eight hexagrams on each other.
