Spatial Outlay of Bagua
Bagua has various correlations with respect to both the natural envi-ronment and the human body.

In terms of spatial outlay, li is located in the south, kan in the north, zhen in the east and dui in the west. This design provides a guide-line for many qigong exercises that lay emphasis on the importance of fac-ing in the right direction during practice.

Bagua also corresponds to various parts of the human body. The in-terrelation between the structure and function of human organs can be shown in the correlation of bagua. Based on the theory of bagua, the qigong exercises that are used to regulate specific parts of the human body have been developed.
