Wushu-Qigong Exercise

The wushu-qigong exercise, also called internal work in wushu, is a kind of method to improve internal work. At first, it is used for defense in fighting against attackers and now has developed a style of way to keep fit.

The basic requirements for this exercise are the accumulation of the internal qi at the dantian region and the harmony of willpower, qi and strength. Lay emphasis on the training of qi at dantian in practice and you will improve your agility, invigorate your internal organs and strengthen your bones and muscles.

A number of boxing routines in wushu may be called wushu-qigong exercises, such as taijiquan (taiji boxing), baguazhang (eight-trigram palm) and xingyiquan (form-and-will boxing).
