Tea is not a wonder drug, used to cure disease, but its health benefits, the way it aids our systems, and the way it can suppress certain deadly diseases should all make tea an essential part of our daily beverage consumption. Many tests performed around the world have shown that tea contains more antioxidants than broccoli, carrots and Vitamin E. Tea comes in a huge variety of flavors and colors, which allows the consumer to find the perfect tea suited to their tastes.

Blood clots cause heart attack and stroke, but tea can help aid your system in keeping your arteries clean. According to a study of Circulation: Journal of the American Heart Association, "Drinking tea on a regular basis may help protect patients with existing cardiovascular disease." They further add, "Tea consumption is associated with an increased rate of survival following a heart attack." Kenneth J. Mukamal, MD, MPH, of the Division of General Medicine and Primary Care at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center says, "What was surprising was the magnitude of the association," said Dr Mukamal. "The heaviest tea drinkers had a significantly lower mortality rate than non-tea drinkers." Mukamal concluded, "The greatest benefits of tea consumption have been found among patients who already have cardiovascular disease."
