Healing Benefits of Aqua Tai Chi(B)

traditional chinese medicine,chinese medicine,chinese herbs,Aqua Taiji
Aqua taiji

Simply being in the water submerged up to the shoulders, increases oxygen consumption by 7%. Aqua Tai Chi helps improve circulation of the energy in our body along important meridians or chi channels, helping us to release the energy clogs in these stress areas.

The deep breathing massages our internal organs. For instance, in promoting liver efficiency, the deep breathing massages the liver by driving out depreciated blood to get rid of toxins from the liver. The flowing movement calms the mind.

The naturalness of the movements, the circular and flowing movements calms the mind to:

reduce fatigue
reduce anxiety
reduce anger
reduce insomnia
reduce stress
reduce confusion
increase mental alertness ¡§C deep breathing + relaxation + awareness + focus
increase design sense, i.e. we feel that our body is moving the way it is designed to move. The water unlocks the energy blocks and frees the body of stress.
increase aesthetic sense ¡§C our perception of how our body is moving, visual and artist sense.
The water movement encourages a relaxed awareness state.

Water Depth

As in shallow swimming pools, shoulders must be submerged, with water up to neck level. Stand in the relaxed stance, with feet shoulder width apart, or in the horse riding stance so that the water is at neck level. The knees should face the same direction as the feet, and bent not beyond the position of the toes of the foot.

Average Swimming Pool Temperature

The average swimming pool temperature for Aqua Tai Chi is 31C to 35C (88F-96F).

You will not get a relaxed state if temperatures are as low as 84 0F. Muscles will tighten up if the water temperature is too low. The blood will not reach the vital organs of the body. The blood should be easily flowing around the body in Aqua Tai Chi. Make sure that you have the right water temperature so that the blood can easily flow to the vital organs of the body, in order for the body to relax and move easily.

Practitioners must move only to the point of tension and never to the point of pain ¡§C with regular practice, you will begin to see/feel improvements in your movements.
