3 Drugs

Cosmetological prescriptions and drugs for oral administration

Face-Whitening Powder of the imperial Court of Emperor Yang Guang of the Sui Dynasty 30g of Jupi (Pericarpium Cirri Reticulatae), 50 g of Dongguaren (Semen Benincasae ) and 40 g of Taohua (Flos Persicae). Grind the ingredients into fine powder. Take the powder 3 times a day, 2 g each time. It has the actions of drying dampness, resolving phlegm, promoting blood circulation and benefiting the complexion.

Pearl Powder Grind 2 g of the natural pearl into extremely fine powder and use it after it is dried. Take it orally 3 times a day, 0.5 g each time. It has the actions of clearing away heat, resolving phlegm, moistening the face and curing the facial black spots.

Gouqizi (Fructus Lycii) Wine Soak 50 g of Gouqizi (Fructus Lycii) in 500 ml of millet wine. Proper amount of the wine can be accordingly drunken. It strengthens the liver and stomach, makes people remain young and beautiful.

Cosmetic Wine with Taohua (Flos Persicae) Soak 30 g of dry Taohua (Flos Persicae) in 500 ml of millet wine. Drink the wine. It moistens the face and makes the face look like the peach blossom.

The previous studies and practice believed that the following drugs have the actions of moistening the skin and increasing the skin elasticity. Baizhi (Radix Angelicae Dahuricae ) , Baifuzi ( Rhizoma Typhonii ), Yuzhu ( Rhizoma Polygonati Odorati ) , Gouqizi ( Fructus Lycii), Xingren ( Semen Armeniacae Amarum ), Taoren (Semen Persicae ), Heizhima ( Semen Sesami), Fangfeng (Radix LedebourieUae), Zhuyi (Pancreas Suis ), Taohua ( Flos Persicae), and Xinyi ( Flos Magnolias ), etc.

These products include cosmetic powder, cosmetic lotion, cosmetic ointment, cosmetic paste, cosmetic facial film, etc.

Xi Shi's Cosmetic Powder 60g of dou (Semen Phaseoli Radiati) powder, 30 g of Baizhi (Radix Angelicae Dahuricae ), Baiji ( Rhizoma Bletillae), Bailian (Radix Ampelopsis), Baijiangcan (Bombyx Batryticatus ), Baifuzi ( Rhizoma Typhonii ) and Tianhuafen (Radix Trichosanthis) respectively, 15 g of Gansong (Rhizoma Nardostachyos), Shannai (Rhizoma Kaempferiae) and Maoxiang ( Infloresoentia Hierochlees) respectively, 6 g of Linglingxiang (Herba Lysimachiae Foenigraeci ), Fangfeng ( Radix Ledebouriellae ) and Gaoben (Rhizoma Ligustici) respectively and Feizaojia (Fructus Gymnocladi Chinensis ) ( two in number). Grind all the above ingredients into fine powder and use it when washing the face. The powder expels wind, moistens the skin, dredges collaterals, makes the skin fragrant and the face attractive.

Three-Blossom Lotion for Eliminating Wrinkles: A proper amount of peach blossom, lotus and Furonghua (Flos Hibisci Mutabilis) respectively. Decoct the three ingredients in snow water to wash the face frequently with the decoction. The lotion can promote blood circulation to remove blood stasis, moisten the skin and eliminate wrinkles.
