
2.3.3.1 Dingchuan (EX - B 1)
Location.. This acupoint is located below the spinous process of the seventh cervical vertebra and 0.5 lateral to the posterior midline (see Fig. 101).
Indications.. Asthma and cough.
2.3.3.2 diaji (EX- B 2)
Location: A group of 34 acupoints on both sides of the spinal column, 0.5 cun lateral to the lower border of each spinous process from the first thoracic vertebra to the fifth lumbar vertebra (see Fig. 101).
Indications: The indication for the acupoints from the first to the third thoracic vertebrae on both sides mainly includes disease of the upper limbs; the indication for the acupoints from the first to the eighth thoracic vertebrae on both sides mainly includes disorders of the chest; the indication for the acupoints from the sixth thoracic verte-bra to the fifth lumbar vertebra mainly includes diseases of the abdomen; the indication for the acupoints from the first to the fifth lumbar vertebrae mainly includes diseases of the lower limbs.
2.3.3.3 Weiwanxiashu (EX- B 3)
Location.. This acupoint is located 1.5 cun lateral to the lower border of the spinous process of the eighth tho-racic vertebra (see Fig. 101).
Indications. Stomachache, abdominal pain, diabetes and dry throat.
2.3.3.4 Yaoyan (EX- B 6)
Location: This acupoint is located below the spinous process of the fourth lumbar vertebra and in the depres-sion 3.5 cun lateral to the spinous process of the fourth lumbar vertebra (see Fig. 101).
Indications. Lumbago, irregular menstruation and leukorrhagia.
2.3.3.5 Shiqizhui (EX-B7)
Location. This acupoint is located on the posterior midline and below the spinous process of the fifth lumbar vertebra (see Fig. 101).
Indications: Pain in the waist and leg, paralysis of the lower limbs, metrorrhagia and metrostaxis, irregular menstruation and dysuria in pregnancy.
2.3.3.6 Yaoqi (EX- B 8)
Location: This acupoint is located 2 cun directly above the coccyx (see Fig. 101).
Indications. Epilepsy, headache, insomnia and con-stipation.
