The Yinqiao channel and the Yangqiao channel

(1) Course
The Qiao Channels both originate in the region below the malleoli, but run separately along the left and right sides of the body.
The Yinqiao Channel ascends from Point Zhaohai(KI6) below the medial malleolus to the upper portion of the malleolus. Then it runs along the medio-posterior aspect of the lower limbs, straight to the external genitalia. From there it ascends further along the abdomen and chest into the supraclavicular fossa. Running along the throat, it passes in front of Point Renying(ST9) and the medial side of the zygomatic region and reaches the inner canrhus of the eye where the channel meets with the Taiyang Channels of both Hand and Foot as well as the Yangqiao Channel.
The Yangqiao Channel travel from Shenmai(BL62) below the external malleolus, up to the malleohls, through the posterior border of the fibula and the lateral side of the thigh, to the posterior aspect of the hypochondriac region. Via the posterior axillary fold, it winds its way through the shoulder and ascends ahmg the neck to the corner of the mouth..Passing the side of the naris, it goes into the inner canthus where the channel communicates with the Taivang Channels of the Hand and Foot as well as the Yinqiao Channel. From there it travels along the Urinary Bladder Channel of Foot-Taiyang to the forehead upward into the hairline, then goes behind the ear and meets with the GallBladder Channel of Foot-Shaoyang at Point Fengchi(GB20).
(2)Pathological Symptoms
Yinqiao disease is symptomatizd by myasthenia of the lateral side of the limbs and myospasm of the medial side of the limbs,laryngalgia and somnolence ,Yangqiao disease if symptomaitized by myasthenia of the medial side of the limbs and myospasm of the lateral side of the limbs,insanity,insomnia and pain in the inner canthus.
