This chapter deals primarily with the formation, actions and mutual relations of qi, blood and vitality. It is explained that these are not only the products of zang-viscera and fu-viscera activity, but are also the material basis of both the zang-viscera and fu-viscera. This chapter also expounds and analyses mental activities and emotional activities.
