Sources:The drug is the dried or fresh root or whole herb of Erigeron annuus (L.) Pers. (Family Com positae), growing along roadsides, or wastes on mountain slopes, near villages, or in fields, and distributed in Jilin , Hebei, Henan, Shandong, Anhui, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Jiangxi, Fujian, Hunan, Sichuan and Tibet of China.
Constituentts: Flower contains apigenin, luteolin, quercetin, etc.

Actions and Indications: Root or whole herb is used to clear away heat and remove food stagnancy, as antidiarrheal, for the treatment of acute enteritis, hepatitis, indigestion, entertitis and diarrheal, lymphnoditis, hematuria, snake-bite, gingivitis, scrofula and malaris.
