Women going through menopause often describe this time and experience in their lives as difficult, challenging, and frustrating, as it tends to produce a wide variety of both emotional and physical changes as well as a plethora of generally undesirable symptoms.

Menopause-related symptoms can range from hot flashes, night sweats, and insomnia to constipation, incontinence, anxiety and depression, decreased sex drive, and even high cholesterol and osteoporosis. To deal with these changes and symptoms, many women often look for-or even require-treatment, medication, and/or various remedies to help relieve these symptoms and help them deal and cope with menopause more easily.

Traditionally, women have turned to conventional methods of menopause symptom treatment and menopause medication, such as hormone therapy, and medication like anticholinergic, antispasmodic, antihypertensive, antidepressants, and anti-anxiety drugs, as well as drugs used to help fight against menopause-induced osteoporosis and high cholesterol.

However, more and more middle-aged females suffering through the unpleasant symptoms of this huge change in their lives are turning to natural and alternative menopause treatment options and remedies. One of the most common and beneficial natural methods of treating menopause-related symptoms and side-effects is using herbs and herbal remedies for menopause and alternative herbal menopause treatments.

Herbal remedies for menopause are gaining popularity as a preferred method of menopause treatment and for dealing with unwanted symptoms, and for good reason. The use of traditional menopause medication like hormone therapy and drugs can be contraindicated for some women, and also are known to produce a wide range of side-effects such as headache, dizziness, nausea and vomiting, fainting, sleep disturbances, heartbeat irregularity, slurred speech, and blurred vision, among others.
