Charlie's Angels Star Cameron Diaz Was Going
Full throttle Thursday night at the LA premiere of her new movie "What Happens in Vegas," looking beautiful as ever in a tight red mini dress.
The red carpet outing marked the actress's first public appearance since her father's death on April 15. Emilio Diaz, 58, a Cuban-American, worked as a foreman for an oil company and was reportedly in excellent shape. He reportedly lived an active lifestyle, and friends and family said they never anticipated his flu would develop into the pneumonia that led to his death.
The 35-year-old star is trying to move on - which may involve moving to the East Coast full time. In an interview with W magazine, Diaz revealed she wants to move to New York, where she believes she'll be hounded less by the paparazzi.
Beyond the relative anonymity, another selling point is the city's the plethora of karaoke venues. Diaz told W she loves spending her Saturday evenings at the New York karaoke bar Sing Sing.
"There'd be 30 of us in this really tiny room screaming at the top of our lungs. All of a sudden it would be four in the morning and we'd have no idea what time it was, no idea how long we'd been there, and nobody would be ready to go home. It was awesome," she told W.
