New Chronic Pharyngitis Therapeutic
This is a disease in traditional Chinese medicine corresponding to chronic pharyngitis in Western medicine with discomfort, slight pain, dryness, itching, burning and sensation of a foreign body in the throat, efforts to clear the throat from time to time, coughing, nausea and vomiting without vomitus.

Recipe 1: An adequate amount of loofah and a small amount of crystal sugar
Administration: The loofah is squeezed to produce juice, which is boiled with sugar for constant drinking in small cups as a tea.
Indication; This tea can moisten the lungs to treat sore throat in patients with apparent deficiency of Yin.

Recipe 2: One big snow pear, Chuanbeimu (Sichuan fritillary bulbus) 3 g and crystal sugar 15 g.
Administration: The pear is peeled, and its seeds are removed. It is steamed with Chuanbeimu and sugar stuffed into the cavity, for oral intake.
Indication: The steamed pear with Chuanbeimu and sugar can enrich Yin and tonify the lungs to relieve sore throat. It can produce a good effect if administered for a long time.

Recipe 3: Luohanguo (grosvenor's momordica) 10 g and frost of persimmon 3 g.
Administration: The above materials are soaked in boiled water to make a tea for drinking once a day.
Indication: This tea can be used to treat dryness and slight pain in the throat with profuse sputum due to damage of Yin by heat pathogens in the lungs.

Recipe 4: Olive 6 g, green tea leaf 6 g, 3 pieces of Pangdahai (lantern sterculia seed) and a spoonful of honey.
Administration: After being boiled in water, the olives are soaked with green tea leaves and Pangdahai in boiled water to make a tea for sipping with honey from time to time.
Indication: This tea can clear heat and resolve swelling to treat slight pain and apparent sensation of a foreign body in the throat, with dark red pharyngeal wall and proliferated Ivmohoid follicles.
