Practice of qi guidance is to make the inner and outer qi work in consonance, so that not only can the internal organs be reinforced by regulating the flow of
qi in the channels, but also myopia can be treated by the outer qi guided by will.
¢ó Practice of Eye Massage with External Qi
Take off the eye glasses. This therapy can be divided into five sections.
    Section 1:
When there is a strong feeling of qi in the palms, slowly turn the hands over, directing point Laogong (P8) to the eyes. Holding the qi in the palms, slowly move the hands close to the eyes until the palms are 6 to 12cm away from the eyes and there is a feeling of pressure or hotness in the eyes. Practice for one minute to cause the qi to go from the palms deep into the eyeballs and to combine with the qi already inside the eyes (see Fig. 6).
    Section 2:
Having felt the combination of the qi in the palms and that in the eyeballs, slowly move the hands outward to pull the qi out until the hands are about 40 cm away from the eyes; then slowly press the qi into the eyeballs until the palms are about 6 cm away from the eyes., Slowly pull and press in this manner six to nine times (see Fig. 7), finally stopping at a distance about 15 cm away from the eyes. During pulling and pressing, there is a feeling of attraction and resistance that is different in strength in different people (see Fig. 8).
    Section 3:
Keep the distance between the hands and the eyes unchanged and, feeling the union of qi between the hands and eyes, slowly turn both hands in the same direction in a circular movement first to the left and then to the right three to six times each. The radius of the circular movement should be short enough so that the qi in the palms can drive the qi in the eyes, giving rise to a feeling of rotation (see Fig. 9).
    Section 4:
Stop the circular movement and keep the palms still at the same distance, facing the eyes. Relax the whole body and be aware that the qi of the palms is transported to the eyes and deeply into the eyeballs, which results in regulation of qi and blood and improvement of the functions. Practise the eye massage with external qi for about 5 minutes (see Fig. 10).
