Three Ways To Treat For Hematuria

The symptom of this condition is painless discharge of bloody urine, and it can be divided into two types: Patients with hematuria due to deficiency of Yin and excessiveness of fire pathogens may suffer from discharge of bloody urine in short streams, vertigo, tinnitus, soreness of the waist and weakness of the legs, flushed cheeks and night sweating; and the patients with accumulation of damp-heat pathogens in Xiajiao (lower energizer) may suffer from discharge of hot urine with fresh red blood, annoyance, thirst, flushed face and red tongue proper.

Hematuria often occurs in cases of nephritis, acute urinary infection and stones in the urinary tract.

Recipe 1: Two dried persimmons and Dengxincao (rush pith) 6 gm.
Administration: The above materials are boiled in 300 rnl of water to prepare a warm decoction of 100 ml for oral administration with the persimmons, twice a day.
Indication: This recipe can clear heat, promote urination, stop bleeding and control inflammation to treat hematuria due to excessive heat pathogens in Xiajiao (lower energizer). It is contra-indicated for patients of diabetes mellitus.

Recipe 2: Zhuzhe (bamboo sugarcane) 200 gm and Maogen (wooly grass) 6 gin.
Administration: A tea is made of the above herbs for constant drinking.
Indication: Zhuzhe is an annual or perennial plant of the grass family similar to sugarcane, with sugar, multiple vitamins, amino acids, protein, fat, calcium, iron and phosphorus. Zhuzhe and Maogen can clear fire and heat pathogens to treat hematuria due to excessive heat pathogens in Xiajiao.

Recipe 3: An adequate amount of fresh celery and a small amount of sugar.
Administration: 100 ml of celery juice with some sugar is drunk 2-3 times a day.
Indication: Celery juice can clear heat, promote urination and produce a hypotensive effect or a sedative effect to treat hematuria due to excessive heat pathogens, and profuse uterine bleeding and leukorrhagia in women.
