    Recipe 1: One bulb of garlic, fresh ginger 3 g, and chenpi (³ÂƤ, Dried Tangerine Peel) 20 g.
    Prescription: A decoction of these ingredients is orally administered, 2-3 times a day.
    Explanation: This recipe is used to treat pain and distension in the chest due to the stagnation of qi.
    Recipe 2: Fresh ginger 30 g, baijuhua (°×¾Õ»¨White Chrysanthemum) 15 g, and tianguazi (Ìð¹Ï×ÓSweet Melon Seed) 6 g,
    Prescription: A decoction of these ingredients is orally administered 1-2 times a day.
    Explanation: This recipe is used to treat pain and distension in the chest due to an accumulation of heat and phlegm.
    Recipe 3: Fresh ginger 30 g, dingxiang (¶¡ÏãClove) 10 g, and sugar 250 g.
    Prescription: The sugar is boiled with a small amount of water in an aluminum pot over a low flame until it becomes thin syrup; then the chopped ginger and clove powder are added and further boiled to form thick syrup which will not adhere to the finger when touched. The hot syrup forms a soft disc when it is poured into a dish and cooled. Before it hardens, the syrup disc is cut into 50 cubes, and 3-4 cubes are taken after each meal.
    Explanation: In this recipe, the fresh ginger can warm the spleen and stomach and expel cold and the clove can warm the spleen and stomach and restore yang for treating chest pain

    caused by a cold pathogen.
    Recipe 4: Stem of garlic 10 g, chenpi (³ÂƤ Dried Tangerine Peel) l0 g and cheqianzi (³µÇ°×ÓPlantain Seed) 30 g placed in a cloth bag.
    Prescription: A decoction of these herbs is orally administered 1-2 times a day.
    Explanation: This recipe is used to treat Neuritis with pain in the chest wall.
    Recipe 5: Two garlic bulbs, fresh ginger 8 g, Chinese Yam 60 g, and taro 60 g.
    Prescription: The herbs are pounded together to prepare a paste for external application over the lesion.
    Explanation: This recipe is used to treat pain in the heart, chest distress, and dull or paroxysmal severe pain of the chest due to coagulation of cold pathogen in the heart or blood vessels, accumulation of heat and fire pathogen, stagnation of qi, and phlegm.
