Recipe 1: An adequate amount of fresh leaves of persimmon and Chuanjiao (prickly ash).
Administration: After burning, the charred persimmon leaves are ground with the prickly ash to produce a powder for application over the lesion.
Indication: This powder can clear heat and eliminate poison, to treat Lianchuang of damp-heat type with redness, swelling and exudate.
Recipe 2: Yiyiren (Job's tears) 20 g, Pugongying (dandelion) 15 g, Jinyinhua (honeysuckle flower) 15 g, wild chrysanthemum 15 g and Gancao (licorice) 10 g.
Administration: A decoction of the above herbs is drunk once a day for 3-5 days.
Indication: This recipe is used to treat Lianchuang of damp-heat type.
Recipe 3: An adequate amount of seeds of rutabaga.
Administration: The seeds are ground to prepare a powder for application over the lesion.
Indication: The powder can enrich Qi and blood, moisten the skin and promote regeneration of the muscles to treat Lianchuan of Qi deficiency and blood stasis type.
Recipe 4: An adequate amount of fresh leaves of amaranth and a small amount of honey.
Administration: The fresh amaranth leaves are'pounded with honey to prepare a paste for application over the lesion once a day for several days.
Indication: The paste is used to treat ulcers of Lianchuang of damp-heat type.
Recipe 5: An adequate amount of fresh eggplant with purple skin.
Administration: The skin of the eggplant is peeled for application to the ulcers, 1-2 times a day. At the early stage of treatment, the lesion may show some reaction, and it may disappear one week later.
Recipe 6: Bitter endive and fresh ginger of equal amounts, red date 10 g, Dangshen (Asiabell root) 10 g and brown sugar
20 g.
Administration: The first two materials are washed clean, cut into small pieces and pounded to prepare a juice, which is then mixed with sugar for oral intake with a decoction of Dangshen and red date, 3 times a day for several days.
Indication: This recipe is effective for treating chronic Lianchuang of Qi deficiency and blood stasis type.
