In the afternoon on September 9, 2008, Traditional Chinese Medicine Center received a group of tourist from Germany. It is their first time to travel to Guilin. They came to our center to study and experience profound culture of TCM.
After they entered the big hall of our center, Professor Huang, who has specialized in research and clinic of TCM for several decades and achieved excellent reputation nationally and globally, delivered a small lecture about TCM to Germany friends. They listened to Professor Huang seriously and showed great interest in TCM culture. TCM is indeed a little strange to them. In many international friends eyes, China is still a mysterious country. Anyway, through the successful hosting of Beijing 2008 Olympic Games, more and more international friends will know Chinese traditional culture and customs as well as system gradually.
After a small lecture, Germany tourists were invited to a classroom where a rich and lively TCM lecture with educating meaning would be held by our professors and doctor. Our assistance serve them with traditional tea, making them feel at home. Next, Professor Huang made a detailed introduction about TCM, range from Acupuncture, Taiji, Qigong and Cupping and also explained their functions. A brochure and multimedia teaching were used to make the lecture more easily understood. After the lecture finished, a small consultation was held. Germany friends put up their questions to our doctors and specialists. As our doctors have many years clinical experience, every friend got a satisfactory reply. Meantime our doctors prescribed some TCM products to them based on individual situation. TCM products are natural medicine, no side-effect, great function.
Finally, I talked with some of them. They said TCM is interesting and they benefited a lot from the center and our doctors and professor.
Although TCM is still doubtful and unbelievable, it really has great medical value. Otherwise, why it can last so long and so many people benefit a lot from it?
